Pete the Cat Chicago Theatre reviews
KOL seemed a bit off....
"I had high expectations for this show after seeing Pete the Cat at The Palace in Sept, especially since DTE is a way better venue than The Palace. Maybe I set the bar too high, but Pete the Cat just didn't seem to be on point. The band didn't seem to gel that great and the acoustics seemed off, despite the outside acoustics at DTE. I understand it's an amphitheater, but I've seen many other bands put on a fantastic show in similar settings.
While I'm a fan of Pete the Cat and still enjoyed myself, I have to say that the performance was probably the worst I've seen at DTE. Last night's performance felt like a different band compared to the one I saw in Sept at The Palace. Maybe it was just an off night for them, but it raised concerns about the rumors of "trouble in paradise" for Pete the Cat.
It's a bold statement, but I'll probably most likely see them again when they come back to Detroit. Despite the disappointing show, I still love Pete the Cat. Perhaps it was just a one-off, and I can't tour non-stop for nearly two years."
